Founded in 2009, Community Shop Directories was created to help small businesses have a quality presence on the web at a price they can afford. For years, small businesses have been forced to a secondary place on the web because they simply did not have the finances to compete with the full-featured websites of larger companies. It is this problem that brought our directories into existence.
We have designed and developed the directories on our own dollar and use advertising revenue to cover hosting and operating costs. We know Google Ads don't look pretty, but until a listing is claimed, they are necessary to help us keep operating. However, it is in the next step that our business model is built around.
